Project Profile: Waterworks New York

Architect: MBH Architects

Location: New York, NY

Category: Showroom

Waterworks, a luxury bath, and kitchen fixture manufacturer and retailer, onboarded MBH Architects in 2017 to work on their Flatiron showroom in New York City. After this initial project, MBH was awarded their 58th street showroom renovation and expansion in Midtown Manhattan. The showroom transformed from the existing 8,500 square foot space into a three-story 12,500 square foot flagship.

The new showroom was designed to feel like a museum or art gallery, showcasing their sleek tubs, faucets, fittings, and mirrors as masterpieces. The original two-story showroom’s staircase was relocated to create a focal point out of the brass and marble staircase while improving circulation through the cellar, ground floor, and newly added second floor. The ambitious renovation consisted of three phases to allow the on site offices to remain open through the entire fit out. The final showroom serves as a beautiful backdrop for the luxurious products, with moments of comfort to welcome visitors.
