Interim Human Resources Manager

We are seeking a highly organized, talented Human Resources Manager to join our Alameda office to cover for a leave of absence starting end of November/early December for 6-7 months. The HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our human resources operations, accomplishing the operational and strategic goals of the company, and providing a high level of customer service.

What You'll Do
• Manage recruitment efforts; facilitate staff movement.
• Direct compensation, benefits, and performance management strategies and programs.
• Organize staff training and professional development activities.
• Respond to questions; facilitate resolution of employee relation issues through coaching and counseling.
• Interpret government regulations and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Supervise human resources staff.
• Provide weekly status update at Leadership meeting.
• Oversight of, and adherence to, HR best practices that fit company culture.
• Manage multiple assignments concurrently.
Additional Responsibilities
• Oversee processing of visa paperwork.
• Direct creation and maintenance of all HR documents.
• Manage HR budget and assure that HR functions are cost-effective and of value.
• Manage external human resource related vendors.
Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in HR and 2+ years in a leadership position.
• Proficiency with HR systems. Experience with ADP Workforce Now is a plus.
• Demonstrated knowledge of CA state and federal employment law and HR best practices.
• Ability to integrate quickly into the team.

This is a hybrid position working 3 days per week in our Alameda, CA headquarters.
Compensation
$100,000-135,000 contingent on relevant experience
