This role focuses on partnering with executives to establish firm strategy and implement operational and project processes/standards that support those initiatives while ensuring that MBH provides a high-quality, technologically responsive working environment for all employees.

Duties Include:

  • Facilitate creation of company-wide 1, 3, and 5 year business plans

  • Build and maintain relationships with leadership and all stakeholders to make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals

  • Collaborate with executives to develop, implement, and track strategic priorities and initiatives

  • Implement and track metrics to inform business decisions

  • Creation and management of company business continuity plan

  • Oversee Administration, Facilities, Human Resources, Information Technology, and Knowledge Management teams/departments

  • Establish standard operational procedures across all offices

  • Coordinate between operational departments and project teams

  • Facilitate cross-group (office/studio/department) communication and collegiality

  • Conduct regular audits of tools/software and make recommendations for improvement

  • Assist Human Resources and Knowledge Management in establishing Learning/Training & Development strategic plans/initiatives

  • Build and maintain relationships with leadership and all stakeholders to make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals

  • Collaborate with Marketing Communications, Business Development, and Finance Departments as needed

  • Champion an agile culture to foster innovation, growth, and learning

  • Support the “One MBH” mindset by improving communication and sharing across our multi-office eco-system

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field; MBA preferred

  • 10+ years experience working in operational leadership; AEC industry experience preferred but not required

  • Team player with warm communication style. Positive and professional demeanor with good interpersonal skills and ‘can-do’ attitude

  • Extensive knowledge of operational functions and principles

  • Proven ability to develop innovative solutions to manage operational processes and to streamline and implement new structures and roles that create efficiency and support rapidly shifting business demands

  • Able to travel to all MBH offices annually, at minimum
