Epic and Waterbar are the product of the collaborative design effort between MBH Architects, Engstrom Design Group and Pat Kuleto, who conceived the two buildings as an old world pump house and powerhouse. - Unique Features:Largely executed in tumbled brick, imparting an antique or salvaged quality, this building is comprised of simple, stepped masses with cement plaster and darkened metal banding, granting the desired character of a straight-forward industrial structure. Waterbar features spacious terraces at both ends of the building, mediating not only the interior and exterior of the building, but the waterfront cityscape with spectacular views of the Bay. Waterbar has spectacular views of the San Francisco Bay, the Bay Bridge, Treasure and Yerba Buena Islands and the Berkeley and Oakland hills.
