Pleasanton Gateway
A commercial office project is currently in the construction document
phase for Pleasanton Gateway in Pleasanton, California. Designed by
MBH Architects of Alameda, the eight four-story office buildings will
total 750,000 square feet. The plan is organized to accommodate either
a single user in a campus setting or utilized as a multi-tenant project.
The developer is South Bay Development of San Jose.
The rectilinear buildings are organized at right angles to one another along landscaped grids. Exterior walls will be articulated with a mix of overhangs and various projections to visually enhance each building. The rooflines are designed as low barrel vaults providing a contrast to the angularity of the walls.
Pleasanton Gateway is just one component of the 500-acre Master Development of the Bernal Property. This development is projected to include 600 residential units with a mix of apartments, medium income housing, luxury single family homes, and commercial office space.
MBH Architects was established in 1989 and now employs 170 professionals specializing in retail, hospitality, commercial, housing and restaurant projects both in the United States and abroad. In addition to Alameda, MBH Architects has offices in Newport Beach and Las Vegas, Nevada.
