The Village at Petrini Place Wins at the Ebbies
The
San Francisco Chamber of Commerce Excellence in Business Awards
(ebbies) were presented at the San Francisco Hilton on October
16 to winners in four categories. In the Community Developer category,
The Village at Petrini Place competed against two other entries: Moscone
Center West by Gensler, Michael Willis Architects and Kwan Henmi Architecture/Design;
and the Ambassador and Delta Hotels by the Tenderloin Neighborhood Development
Corporation. The Village at Petrini Place earned top honors for the
team of The Emerald Fund, Design Architect Christiani Johnson Architects
and Executive Architect MBH Architects.
The project consists of 134 condominiums and a major grocery store built around a landscaped central courtyard. Building elements are composed to provide individual identities to the multiple structures that serve to unify the overall project design and ensure a contextual fit within the surrounding neighborhood context.
As stated in the event brochure, “The Village is proof positive that a sensitively designed urban-infill development can successfully pump new life into an established neighborhood.”
Congratulations to all team members for this superb effort in the design and construction of this new San Francisco urban development.
