Architects has announced that Principal Joseph Smart, formerly of the
Alameda office, has been named as Principal in Charge of the Newport
Beach office. Mr. Smart joined MBH in 1992 and became a principal shareholder
in 2001. Joseph was the manager of the Alameda Retail Studio and has
spent the last several months in Newport Beach managing that office.
He is now in charge of the Southern California operation.
Elizabeth Cera joined MBH in 1997 as Director of Marketing for both MBH offices and became a Senior Associate in 1999. She has also relocated to Newport Beach and has been named as the Director of Business Development for the Southern California region. Liz has a vast wealth of experience and expertise in the business development and real estate fields and will bring that background to the Newport office to focus on all project types in the region.
P.J. Cosgrove has joined MBH Architects as the Director of Business Development for the Alameda office. Mr. Cosgrove has over 14 years of experience in marketing, project management and engineering. He previously worked for Swinerton Builders and Bovis Interiors and was involved in projects including the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and Charles Schwab in San Francisco along with many high-end projects in New York. Mr. Cosgrove will pursue retail and commercial work for MBH in the Northern California region.
MBH Architects was established in 1989 and now employs 140 professionals specializing in commercial, retail, restaurant, hospitality, and multi-unit housing with offices in Alameda and Newport Beach, California.
