Grand Opening of First MBH and CIM Project in Anaheim, California
ALAMEDA, CA – The MBH designed Broadway Arms project
developed by CIM Group has opened in Anaheim, California to stunning
reviews. The 95 unit residential complex is part of a six building redevelopment
project by CIM group and the City of Anaheim to revitalize the downtown
area.
The Grand Opening of the Broadway Arms in Anaheim, California commenced on October 12, 2006. This “Urban Style Flats” complex was the very first housing project for the Newport Beach office of MBH Architects. The grand opening was attended by a mixed group, including the Mayor of Anaheim and the US Men’s Volleyball Team, which has already taken up residence in the building. The building was well received by all in attendance with MBH receiving many praises in the execution of the project.
One city official said, "I thought the outside of the building
looked great. I would have never guessed that there would be such an
inviting space inside the building, such as the courtyards."
The project is a five story building over a single floor of subterranean
parking. The building consists of four stories of residential units
containing 95 apartment units. There is a mix of studios, one and two
bedroom apartments with amenities such as a fitness room and two outdoor
courtyards. The apartments are located over one floor of subterranean
and one level at grade of parking. At street level there is a space
left on the corner planned for restaurant usage.
This project is the first of six buildings being built by the CIM group,
in a joint effort with the City of Anaheim redevelopment Agency. The
goal is to bring new life into the downtown Anaheim area and with the
buildings current 40% occupancy that goal is proving to be a reality.
