MBH Architects Announces Associate And Senior Associate Promotions

MBH Architects is proud to announce the promotion of a number of tried and true employees to the level of Associate and Senior Associate at the firm. The Associate selection process begins with each New Year. The existing Associates and Senior Associates convene to nominate worthy MBH individuals that they feel are integral to the culture, integrity and life of the firm. The Senior Associates then assemble to decide who from the group of associates will be promoted to Senior Associate status. These selections are then taken to the Principals who mull over them on an exclusive retreat.

The absolute test of who is considered for a position in the Associates is, ‘what would we do if they left MBH’, they are an integral part of the team, and they embrace the qualities of this firm while they are in the office as well as when they are outside of it.

Associates

Brandon Dedmon Job Captain, Hospitality Studio (Newport Beach Office) Mr. Dedmon joined MBH in 2001 and has worked on a variety of hospitality and housing projects in his tenure

Catherine Sychr Accountant, Accounting Studio Catherine has been with MBH since 1999 and holds a degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Accounting from the California State University, Hayward.

Daniel Harris Senior Designer, Design Studio (Newport Beach Office) Dan started with MBH in 1997 as a CAD Draftsman. He showed a meaningful interest in the design process and soon became a designer. He now works on multi-million dollar hospitality projects.

Juan Castaneda Project Architect, Quality Assurance / Quality Control Studio Juan has been with MBH since 1999 and holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the Central University of Ecuador.

Ken Kurano Project Architect, Quality Assurance / Quality Control Studio Ken has been with MBH since 2001 and holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley. He is a Licensed Architect in the state of California.

Pallas Pulling Retail Studio Accounting Manager Pallas has been with MBH since 1999 and has a colorful educational background including Psychology, Languages and Computer Science.

Oscar B. Castelo Senior Job Captain, Hospitality Studio (Newport Beach Office) Oscar joined MBH in 1999 and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University Of San Tomas Philippines.

Vanden Baysa Senior Designer, Design Studio Vanden has been with MBH since 2000 and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Architecture from Mapua Institute of Technology, Manila, Philippines. He is a Licensed Architect in the Philippines.

Wendy Hawkins Project Manager, Restaurant Studio Wendy has been with MBH since 1998 and holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Kentucky.

Senior Associates

Emad Michael Senior Project Manager, Developer Retail Studio Emad has been with MBH since 2000 and holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Cairo, Egypt. He is a Licensed Architect in the Sate of California.

Gerald McDaniel Director of MIS, IT Studio Gerry began his career at MBH seven years ago as an IT Technician and worked up to the Director level. He holds an Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering from San Francisco School of Communication Electronics.

Gordon Crespo Restaurant Studio Director Gordon has been with MBH since 1999 and holds Bachelor of Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley. He is a Licensed Architect in the state of California.

Greg Simonoff Director of the Developer Retail Studio Greg has been with MBH since 2000 and holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. He is a Licensed Architect in California and has over 20 years of retail architecture experience.

Kevin Albaugh Senior Project Manager Retail Studio Kevin has been with MBH since 2002 and holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. He is a Licensed Architect in the states of California and Arizona.

Oliver Mellows Accounting Manager Oli has been with MBH since 2000 and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from San Francisco State University and an MBA from St. Mary’s.

P.J. Cosgrove Vice President of Business Development, Marketing Studio PJ joined MBH in 2002 and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.

Reinhardt Muir Senior Designer, Design Studio Reinhardt has been with MBH since 1998 and holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Texas Tech University. He is a Licensed Architect in the state of California.

Wilse Alfonso Senior Designer, Design Studio Wilse has been with MBH since 2000 and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interior Design and Graphics from Beaver College in Pennsylvania.
