MBH ARCHITECTS IS PROUD TO WELCOME OUR SUMMER INTERNS

Summer Intern, Sabrina Jimenez, discusses a Target project with Project Manager, Kevin AlbaughAlameda, CA - MBH Architects has started an innovative and comprehensive summer internship program. This year MBH heavily recruited at college campuses across the nation from UC Berkeley to the University of Nebraska. Seventeen interns were chosen to participate in our summer training course.

MBH offers a well-rounded, hands-on, summer program where the intern will learn all aspects of the architectural process from client meetings to site surveys to model building to hand and CAD drafting. Moreover, the interns will be exposed to marketing, business development, and administration, as well a number of other traditional aspects of running a successful large sized professional services firm. Top it off with community involvement, office social functions, continuing education and top-notch a mentorship program and you can see why many MBH interns return as full-time employees.

MBH is very proud and excited to welcome our interns . . .

“MBH has been very good to me this summer. From being engaged in project meetings, to enjoying a Giants game from the comfort of a luxury box, I’ve had the pleasure of having a variety of experiences both in and out of the office. MBH has certainly made me feel welcome.”

“Working at MBH Architects has been a wonderful experience! This is a place where you can learn and advance quickly in your architectural career. MBH provides interns with real world training to apply towards real world projects.”

Lynn JanickiLynn Janicki, Specialty Retail Design Studio, from Ohio University
“It is great getting work experience with real clients. So far, I have been involved in a handful of projects including AutoCAD drawings, Photoshop design, budget research, site visits and field surveys. Working on multiple projects has helped me to learn various aspects of the architecture business. It has also helped me to become acquainted with several project managers and employees in other studios.”

“I also love the diversity of the employees who work at MBH. I am originally from Toledo, Ohio and California has really broadened my horizons. Each employee has been extremely welcoming and helpful. I have never been afraid to ask questions if there is something that I do not fully understand. So far, I have not been asked to do any ‘typical’ intern jobs; it makes me feel like I am an asset to the company. Almost all the work I have done has been for actual clients of the firm.”
