MBH Architects Announces New Hires for Alameda / Newport Beach Offices
MBH Architects has acquired several new employees this month as the firm has continued to increase its project workload in both its Alameda and Newport Beach, California offices.

MBH is proud to welcome, Thomas Houlihan, Project Manager, to the Retail Studio. Mr. Houlihan brings 18 years of experience in construction management, store design and development for retail and hospitality projects. He has previously worked for Fry’s Electronics, Best Buy and Target Corporation. Mr. Houlihan holds a Bachelor of Architecture (Design / Art) from the Hope College in Holland, Michigan.
MBH is proud to welcome Carolyn Lai, Job Captain, to the Specialty Retail Design Studio. Ms. Lai brings ten years of construction / project management experience to MBH. She recently worked for Gap Inc. as a Visual / Client Specialist in Corporate Architecture. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture from California College of the Arts
MBH is proud to welcome Loren Routh, Project Coordinator, to the Retail Studio. Mr. Routh joins MBH from BAR Architects in San Francisco, California where he worked as a Project Coordinator. He has extensive experience in construction and financial administration including billing and project accounting.
MBH is proud to welcome Ian Bowen, Drafter, to the Retail Studio. Mr. Bowen is a recent graduate of UC Berkeley, and holds a Bachelor of Architecture. He recently worked as drafter at ME Design & Construction.
MBH is proud to welcome Eric Chang, Junior Drafter, to the Specialty Retail Design Studio. Mr. Chang is another recent graduate of UC Berkeley, and holds a Bachelor of Architecture. He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
MBH is proud to welcome Kristin Hook, Junior Drafter, to the Specialty Retail Design Studio. Ms. Hook is a recent graduate of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and holds a Bachelor of Architecture with an emphasis on Florentine Design. She was a seven times Dean List honoree and a Presidential Scholar.

MBH is proud to welcome Lisa Zigenis, Drafter, to the Developer Retail Studio. Ms. Zigenis comes to MBH from Delphey Construction in Oakland, California where she worked as a Drafter. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the California College of the Arts in San Francisco. Ms. Zigenis also participated in an Architectural Doctorate program at the University of Hawaii in Honolulu.
