MBH Architects Announces New Hires for Alameda / Newport Beach Offices
MBH Architects has acquired several new employees this month as the firm has continued to increase its project workload in both its Alameda and Newport Beach, California offices.
Alameda, California. . .
MBH is proud to welcome, Bobbie Cilia, Senior Project Manager, to the Specialty Retail Design Studio. Ms. Cilia formerly worked as the Director of Store Design, Planning and Construction for the Good Guy’s, Inc. where she developed and lead multiple teams of architects, designers, merchandisers, and executives to create the interior design and implementation of the design and construction process for over 72 stores, numerous remodels, and corporate offices. She graduated Magna Cum Lade with a Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Communications from San Francisco State University and has also taken a variety of Construction Management Courses at the UC Berkeley Extension Associates of Arts, Indian Valley Colleges, Novato, CA.
MBH is proud to welcome, Eungoo Chong, Senior Drafter, to the Special Projects Studio. Mr. Chong comes to MBH from Kava Massih Architects in Berkeley, California where he worked as a Project Manager. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. He is also fluent in Korean.
MBH is proud to welcome Danbee Choi, Junior Drafter, to the Specialty Retail Design Studio. Ms. Choi is a recent graduate of the University of California, Berkeley and holds a Bachelor of Architecture and a Minor in City Planning. She is an Associate in the American Institute of Architects, East Bay Chapter.
MBH is proud to welcome Edena Tsou, Junior Drafter, to the Retail Studio. Ms. Tsou comes to MBH from Ace Architects in Oakland, California where she worked as a drafter and an office manager. She also recently completed drawing for a private residence in Los Gatos, California. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley.

MBH is proud to welcome, Tom Jancar, Senior Project Manager, to the Retail Studio. Mr. Jancar joins MBH from ACS Architects in Costa Mesa, California, where he worked as a Store Planning Manager. He holds a MFA in Design from the University of California, Irvine as well as a Bachelor of Art History.
MBH is proud to welcome, Dean Weygand, Graphic Designer, to the Newport Beach Design Studio. Mr. Weygand comes to MBH from RNM Architects / Planners in Newport Beach, California where he worked as an In-House Graphic / Production Artist. He has also worked as an independent Graphic Designer for entities such as Parker Hannifin Aerospace, AirVest Motorcycle Wear, Active Apparel Companies, Velocitel, Inc., and Rogers Gardens Newport Beach.
MBH is proud to welcome, Juan Cervera, Junior Designer, to the Newport Beach Design Studio. Mr. Cervera is a recent graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, with a Bachelor of Arts, Architecture. He is fluent in Spanish, French and Italian and has design experience with a variety of project types.
MBH is proud to welcome, Justin Chen, Junior Designer, to the Newport Beach Design Studio. Mr. Chen is also a recent graduate of the University of California, Berkeley and holds a double degree in Architecture and Civil Engineering. During his studies he interned with Meeks + Partners: Architecture and Planning, in Newport Beach, California. He was also a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
