MBH Architects Announces New Hires for Alameda / Newport Beach, CA Offices


Alameda, CA - MBH Architects has acquired several new employees this month as the firm has continued to increase its project workload in both its Alameda and Newport Beach, California offices.

Alameda, California . . .

Michael ThomasMBH is proud to welcome Michael Thomas, Project Architect, to the Special Projects Studio. With over 30 years of architectural experience in California, the U.S. and abroad, Mr. Thomas comes to MBH from MWM Architects in Oakland, where he also spent five years working out of a satellite office in Guam. Thomas received his Bachelor or Architecture and Masters Degree from the University of California, Berkeley. Between his schooling he spent 2 years as staff architect with the Ministry of Public Works, in Nabeul, Cap Bon Province, during his time with the Peace Corp.

MBH is proud to welcome Suhita Saha, Senior Drafter, to the Special Projects Studio. Her prior experience is with Hart Howerton in San Francisco, where she worked as a junior designer. Last year she received her Master of Architecture degree from the University of California, Berkeley, with a special emphasis in environmental design. Ms. Saha also has experience as an architect working on various projects in India.

MBH is proud to welcome Mansoureh (Maxie) Karimian, Senior Project Manager, to the Specialty Retail Studio. Ms. Karimian has been self-employed for the past five years, running her own boutique architecture firm. Prior to this she was the Director of In-House Architecture for Fashion 21 in Los Angeles. She has been practicing architecture for over 20 years, since she received her degree from Montana State University.

MBH is proud to welcome Michael Kouvaris, Senior Drafter, to the Special Projects Studio. Mr. Kouvaris comes to MBH from William Wood Architects in Danville, California, where he worked as a Project Manager on various residential projects. He received his B.S. in Architecture from Ohio State and is certified in AutoCAD 14.

MBH is proud to welcome Toby Black, Senior Drafter, to the Specialty Retail Studio. Mr. Black formerly worked as a Designer at Arthur Tam and Associates in Oakland, California.

MBH is proud to welcome Dan Graham, Yeon Jong, and Ana Nino, Drafters, to the Retail Studio.

MBH is proud to welcome Matthew Falletti, Photoshop Renderer, to the Restaurant Studio.

Newport Beach, California . . .

MBH is proud to welcome Joel Greer, Senior Project Manager, to the Developer Retail Studio. He comes to MBH with over 25 years of architectural experience across the United States. Mr. Greer, formerly a Principal with Stoutenborough Architects and Planners in Newport Beach, has also been involved with his own small architectural business over the years. He received his degree from the University of Texas, Arlington.

MBH is proud to welcome Doug Pearl, Senior Designer, to the Newport Beach Design Studio. He comes to us from William Hezmalhalch Architects in Santa Ana, California where he worked as a Senior Project Design Manager. He also worked on the renovation of Radio City Music Hall in New York City with Hardy, Holzman, and Pfeifer Associates. Mr. Pearl is an AIA Associate and received his Master of Architecture Degree from the University of South Florida.

MBH is proud to welcome Gabriel (Gabe) Agraso, Job Captain, to the Developer Retail Studio. He comes to MBH with over 5 years of architectural experience as a Job Captain with HMC Architects. Mr. Agraso, has experience with hospitals, schools and a variety of retail.
