Brannan Square Nearing Completion in San Francisco
In the historic South End District of San Francisco, a combination of
new construction and historic renovation comprises Brannan Square, a
four parcel project to include over 250 residential units and 130,000
square feet of commercial office space.
The main component of this project is a new nine story building bordered by the streets of Brannan, Federal and Delancey. This new building at 200 Brannan complements the historic warehouse aesthetic and consists of elements recalling the Chicago frame style and older brick structures. Consisting of 191 condominiums that include thirteen large penthouse units, the modern architecture is pronounced by a full height gridded glass element at the corner of Brannan and Delancey. The juxtaposition of brick and glass throughout the building creates a blending of 19th and 20th Century aesthetics, connecting the past with the present.
