Grand Award Goes to P.F. Chang's China Bistro, Long Beach, California, in the 2004 Gold Nugget Awards Best in the West Program
MBH Architects and P.F. Chang’s China Bistro earned a Grand Award
in the Specialty Project category for the 2004 Gold Nugget Awards Best
in the West program. The award honored the remarkable P.F. Chang’s
China Bistro in Long Beach, California.
The ceremony on June 17 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco brought together several hundred architects, designers, developers, contractors, and associated professionals who gathered to view a wide variety of architecture among several building types.
The collaboration between MBH and P.F. Chang’s has created a number of award winning projects in the Western United States over the past few years. This Long Beach restaurant is highlighted by a sixty foot long self supporting wood lamella roof that is a dynamic focal point and recreates a building form rarely utilized.
Congratulations to MBH and P.F. Chang’s for another successful design endeavor that continues an excellent track record emphasizing the successful teamwork of combining extraordinary talent from both the architect and client.
