Internships
Now accepting applications for Summer 2008.
We cultivate our interns. MBH offers a well-rounded, hands-on, intern program where interns will learn all aspects of the architectural process from client meetings to model building to hand and CAD drafting. Moreover, our interns are exposed to marketing, business development, and administration, as well a number of other traditional aspects of running a successful business. Top it off with community involvement, office social functions, continuing education and a top-notch mentorship program and you can see why many MBH interns return as full-time employees.
For more information, please contact Pamela Galiano, Director of Human Resources, by phone at 510.865.8663 or e-mail at pamela@mbharch.com

Testimonials
“MBH has been very good to me this summer. From being engaged in project meetings, to enjoying a Giants game from the comfort of a luxury box, I’ve had the pleasure of having a variety of experiences both in and out of the office. MBH has certainly made me feel welcome.”

“It is great getting work experience with real clients. So far, I have been involved in a handful of projects including AutoCAD drawings, Photoshop design, budget research, site visits and field surveys. Working on multiple projects has helped me to learn various aspects of the architecture business. It has also helped me to become acquainted with several project managers and employees in other studios.”
“I also love the diversity of the employees who work at MBH. I am originally from Toledo, Ohio and California has really broadened my horizons. Each employee has been extremely welcoming and helpful. I have never been afraid to ask questions if there is something that I do not fully understand. So far, I have not been asked to do any ‘typical’ intern jobs; it makes me feel like I am an asset to the company. Almost all the work I have done has been for actual clients of the firm.”

“I was very excited to return to MBH this summer. Apart from the intriguing and varied projects I get to work on, it’s a wonderful opportunity to collaborate with a boatload of talented, competent, and genuinely friendly people, in a company setting that lends itself to camaraderie and dedication. Interning at MBH gives me a chance to acquaint myself with the inner workings of a large-and-growing firm and to understand the process of design and construction from the bottom up.”

"Interning at MBH Architects has been more than simply a worthwhile working experience. Learning basic skills needed in the workplace has helped me feel more prepared for the real world, as well as given me valuable tools to use immediately in school. Combine this aspect with great people and truly feeling like a part of the MBH team, and this becomes more than just a summer job. It becomes a fun and meaningful way to learn about a career path you may someday follow."

“MBH Architects gave me a great inside look at the profession of architecture. My internship gave me all the tools I felt I needed to complement my school education. With every summer and winter break I took away valuable skills that I have used in my career. As an intern I received the opportunity to work in a variety of different studios with lots of wonderful people, walking away with a very well rounded, meaningful experience. Now after interning for 5 years, I have chosen MBH Architects to further my education and my career in architecture.“
