- Vacation Policy
For regular, full-time employees (40 hours per week)
-2 weeks / 80 hours per year for the first 4 years
-3 weeks / 120 hours per year after 4 years
-4 weeks / 160 hours per year after 10 years
For part-time employees regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week.
-60 hours per year
Vacation is accrued monthly beginning at the date of hire up to a maximum of 240 hours.

Dental Plan / Vision
All employees who are regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week are eligible to participate in the dental plan the first day of the month after employment. MBH will reimburse employees for 90% of all qualifying employee dental expenses. The maximum amount payable per individual is $1,000 per calendar year. Dependent coverage is available at the employee's expense at a different rate level. MBH will pay for up to $100 of Vision Care per calendar year. -
Profit Sharing Plan
Employees will become participants in the plan after they have completed one year of service, provided they are at least 21 years of age. -
Commuter Check Program (Alameda)
All regular employees (not temporary) are eligible to have up to $105 per month or $1,260 per year deducted for their pay, before taxes, to purchase commuter checks. - Flexible Benefits Program
The cost of dependent care, dependent health insurance premiums, and out-of-pocket medical expenses can be paid with pre-tax dollars. - Employee Assistance Program
All employees are eligible to use this confidential program, which provides counseling, legal, accounting and financial services.

Sick Leave Policy
For regular, full-time employees (40 hours per week)

For part-time employees regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week.

Health Insurance Plan
MBH offers a health plan through Cigna and Kaiser. MBH provides group health insurance to all employees who are regularly schedule to work 30 or more hours per week the first day of the month after employment. MBH pays the full HMO equivalent premium of eligible employees. A PPO is also offered, provided that the employee pays the cost difference between the HMO and the PPO. Dependent and domestic partner coverage is available at the employee's expense at a different rate level. -
401(k) Plan and Roth 401(k) Plan
Elective contributions come in two types: traditional, pre-tax elective contributions and designated Roth post-tax
contributions up to $15,500.00 for 2008. If the employee is turning 50 in 2007 or is older they can contribute up to
an additional $5,000.00 into the plan. Employees can enroll immediately upon employment provided that they are
at least 21 years of age. -
Life, Voluntary Life, Long and Short-Term Disability Insurance
Effective the first day of the month following the employees hire date, employees that regularly work 30 or more
hours per week receive $15,000.00 in life insurance; as well as short term and long term disability coverage. The
short-term disability covers 66.67% of the employee’s income up to a maximum weekly benefi t of $1,385.00, and
the long-term plan covers 66.67% of the employee’s income up to a maximum monthly benefi t of $6,000.00.
Employees can elect to purchase their own ‘voluntary’ life insurance policies equivalent to 5 times their
annual salary up to $300,000 in $10,000.00 increments, and half that amount for their spouse in $5,000.00
increments. The guarantee issue amounts for coverage (no underwriting required) is $100,000.00 for the
employee and $50,000.00 for the spouse. Infant and child policies are also available. Policy rates are
based on age.
